Winter Tyres
3PMSF Symbol
The three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol confirms the tyre meets minimum performance standards on packed snow. It is not the same as a M+S marking, which is a self-certification with no independent test.
Speed Index
Most winter tyres carry a Q (160 km/h) or T (190 km/h) rating. If you drive on motorways, check the speed index and do not exceed the marked limit on winter rubber.
